In the Spring 2009 issue of the Men’s Retail industry publication, Frank writes a fascinating piece entitled “Bad Guys in Great Clothes,” recalling his early inspiration for dressing well: “From the 1930s through the 1960s, uomini di rispetto (men of respect) dressed each day like successful businessmen going to the office. You might say these were the first “metrosexuals,” since they, unlike most men, spent a great amount of time and money perfecting their appearances. How well they understood the importance of presenting a professional image!”
